
From January to May 2026, our self-developed 6-3/4" Hydro Thruster Multifunctional Drilling Performance Tool has continuously set new single-run footage records across multiple domestic oilfield projects, becoming a key technical enabler for improving drilling efficiency in complex sections across different types of oilfields.
In field applications, the tool effectively resolves weight transfer issues encountered in build-up and horizontal sections, significantly increasing rate of penetration (ROP) and overall operational efficiency. With its high power output, stable and reliable performance, and ease of operation - combined with refined and dynamic on-site management by drilling crews—sustained breakthroughs in “single-trip drilling” footage have been achieved.
During both the early-stage drilling design and later on-site operations, our technical team worked closely with the drilling contractor to dynamically optimize key parameters such as weight on bit, rotary speed, and flow rate based on varying geological and lithological characteristics across different oilfield projects. By closely monitoring torque and ROP in real time, the team enabled continuous and efficient drilling through build-up and horizontal sections, significantly increasing the proportion of combined drilling and eliminating the need for frequent tripping, thereby substantially reducing non-productive time. Through the integration of refined dynamic management practices and our Hydro Thruster multifunctional tool, drilling teams repeatedly achieved single-trip completion of key intervals, with single-bit footage reaching new regional highs for similar hole sizes.
Recent field applications across various domestic oilfields have once again validated the tool’s superior adaptability and performance under diverse and complex downhole conditions. These achievements further strengthen our technological leadership in high-end drilling performance tools and provide a replicable, scalable solution for the efficient development of unconventional oil and gas resources.
